Steam reformer tubes (reformer tubes) are critical, highly stressed components in hydrogen production plants (SMR – Steam Methane Reforming), ammonia, and methanol facilities. They are located inside the furnace and filled with catalyst, where the reaction between steam and hydrocarbons takes place at high temperatures (800–1000°C) and pressures (2–4 MPa)
